Happy Hump Day – you’re almost there!

Praying for a blessed week- for strength, peace, and rest. “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.” -1 Chronicles 16:8-11

Here’s a joke: which Old Testament Prophet Took Forever to make a point? “I say… uhhh…” (say it out loud) 😛

Join us this week as Mark Slaughter, an InterVarsity evangelistic communicator, speaks to us on the topic of missions, to which God has called us all. It is such a big task, and we often aren’t aware of what missions actually means. This series breaks down the various components of missions so that this nebulous, confusing task becomes one that is clear and manageable. We will be in the Great Lakes Room- see you this Friday, 7 – 9 pm!

This semester, we are studying scripture from the book of Luke.

Winter 2017 Leadership & Apprenticeship Application

If you have been blessed in any way by your Community Group leader and/or through Large Group, or if you are interested in growing in your faith through the realm of leadership and service, consider applying. Even if you aren’t sure, have hesitations, or are nervous, we encourage you to fill it out anyway! It’s due by 11:59 pm on Monday, November 30, 2016.

This application is not binding, meaning that you are not committing to any leadership position just by filling it out, and at anytime, you can decline to continue in the process. Do not hesitate at all to reach out to any leader or staff with questions or concerns. We are more than happy to share our own experiences about how serving on leadership has blessed us both individually and corporately.

picture1If you’ll be in Ann Arbor over break or don’t have plans yet, we hope you can join us for a potluck-style Thanksgiving dinner. Invite your friends too; we’d love to see you and anyone else come on by for some great food, conversation, and games! For some safety reasons, comment on the Facebook post for an invite to the event.

AIV is a para-church ministry, which essentially means that we are not a church- our students attend various churches on campus. We coordinate rides to Knox Presbyterian Church and Grace Ann Arbor; here is also a list of other churches in the Ann Arbor area.
